Sodium Citrate Dihydrate

Sodium Citrate Dihydrate is sodium salt of citric acid. It is produced directly from citric acid fermentation broth subjecting it to neutralizing and then a series of purification process. ABL Sodium Citrate Dihydrate is produced by using Non GMO substances.

Sodium Citrate Dihydrate meets the specification laid by IP 2010, BP 2012,USP 34, FCC 6 and E331

Applications & Indications

  • Sodium Citrate Dihydrate is used as a food additive and flavour enhancing substance in soft-drinks, energy drinks and club soda.
  • It is also used as a pH buffering agent in various food products.
  • Sodium Citrate Dihydrate is used as an anti-coagulant for fat globules stick together in the manufacturing of ice-cream also acts as a curing accelerator.
  • Sodium-Citrate Dihydrate is widely used as Emulsifying Salt in sliced process cheese products.
  • Sodium-Citrate Dihydrate can also be used as an acidity regulator and sequesterant.
  • It is also used as a detergent builder and de-sulfurizing agent.

Storage

Sodium Citrate Dihydrate should be stored under cool and dry conditions and contact with direct sunlight should be avoided.
